Browncoat Auxiliary Depression & Anxiety Support System (BADASS) is a fully licensed nonprofit organization  dedicated to helping people navigate life's challenges by providing free mental health support and resources in welcoming, accessible environments.
BADASS was founded in 2018 after the heartbreaking loss of a close friend to suicide. What began as a group of friends and community members supporting one another through grief grew into a mission to help others facing similar struggles. We believe that no one should have to face depression, anxiety, crisis, or emotional hardship alone.

Today, BADASS brings free mental health resources directly to people where they gather, including conventions, concerts, sporting events, festivals, and other community events. Our goal is to make support accessible, approachable, and available when it is needed most.

The assistance we provide ranges from simply offering a listening ear to helping individuals de-escalate during moments of crisis. Depending on the situation and available resources, support may include referrals to licensed professionals or sessions with licensed therapists. We also connect individuals with vital mental health resources, including crisis hotlines, warm lines, and other support services designed to help people navigate difficult times safely and effectively.

At BADASS, we believe that every conversation matters. Whether someone needs immediate support, information about available resources, or simply a compassionate person to talk to, we are committed to helping individuals find the connection and assistance they need.

No one should have to struggle alone. BADASS exists to remind people that help is available, hope is real, and there is always someone willing to listen.

Because sometimes the most important thing a person can hear is, "You are worthy."
