Veronica Swarens

Veronica Swarens has been working with charities both in a professional and volunteer basis since she was old enough to walk. She grew up in the Foresters fraternal organization helping to raise funds for women’s shelters, Child abuse and neglect, the giving tree, and other various charities. Professionally, she was head of fundraising for Caregivers in Ventura, CA and was charter President for the Ventura County Junior Chamber. More recently, she has become involved with Combat Radio and is a Regular participant in their annual Breakfast with Santa event in Valencia. Veronica has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Masters Certificate in Human Resources from Vanderbilt University. She is QPR trained and has also trained in Suicide Prevention. Her goal is to become a trainer in QPR so that she can train others in the fandom communities.  She loves to cosplay and just learned how to sew in January of 2018. While her original fandom was Star Wars (she had storm troopers at her wedding) and Star Trek, she has grown to love all sorts of fandoms including Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and Firefly. She is excited to be a founding member of B.A.D.A.S.S. and is here to help her fellow fans in any way she can.
